SYNOPSIS In 1981, The Year I became a Liar, the Trogi family moves into a new home. Eleven years-old Ricardo is the new kid at school in a wealthy neighbourhood, and he feels his honour is at stake. To avoid being exposed, Ricardo resorts to inventing a new family history, which he must vigilantly maintain to keep up appearances for his new friends.
