Reel Causes is delighted to be a Community Partner with the 2015 Vancouver Latin American Film Festival! Join us on September 5 at 3 pm and again on September 9 at 9 pm at The Cinematheque for special screenings of El Patron, Anatomy of a Crime.

Based on a true events, this powerful film follows the story of a humble apprentice butcher as he tries to create a better life for his family, only to end up on trial for the murder of his corrupt boss. El Patron is both an exposé of unscrupulous practices in the meat business and a moving personal story, and is one of the most successful Argentine films of 2014.

The film “tackles some of the thorniest issues facing Argentina, among them, regionalism, class discrepancies, corruption and judicial rigidity.” The Hollywood Reporter.
