Urban Native Youth Association (UNYA) is the centre of Indigenous youth excellence, supporting youth on their journeys by amplifying and celebrating their voices.

With over 20 culturally responsive, holistic programs and services UNYA empowers Indigenous youth to explore their personal goals for education, work, culture, and life, in a fun, safe, and healthy environment.

Guided by a youth-led approach, these philosophies shape all of UNYA’s programs:

  • Two-Eyed Seeing
  • Culture as Therapy
  • Trauma-Informed Care
  • Harm Reduction
  • Person-Centred Care

Building towards realizing their vision of empowered Indigenous youth leading and inspiring all Nations, UNYA is currently developing the Native Youth Centre, a purpose-built facility that will transform the landscape of Vancouver’s urban Indigenous community. Standing at the corner of Commercial and Hastings, the Native Youth Centre will inspire joy, pride, and belonging – a place where Indigenous youth can access the resources, programs, and services that will help them reach their fullest potential.
